Administrator’s Bi-Weekly Review
For Pay Period Ending October 14th

This pay period yielded more modest levels of activity, especially on the overnight front, as only five patients required admission for overnight care of some sort. Perhaps that is appropriate when we experienced the best of Fall days that you can hope for enjoying. I took some time off to enjoy them in my home State of Missouri and hence was not able to get this report out timely. So this report will mostly just be a brief display of our biweekly numbers.

I do want to take a moment to reach out to those of you of a certain age bracket, to those of you who are enrolling/ reenrolling for your Medicare Health coverage, and you happen to be entertaining one of the highly marketed Medicare Advantage Plans. I encourage you to ask one of our Business Office folks, your local Pharmacist, and your outside specialty doctors each a key question:  Is your entity contracted and thus participating with the particular plan you are considering? An “in network designation” of the providers you currently use just may be in jeopardy. And the reason, I assure you, is not that we do not want to care for you. The reason is that we have experienced either painfully slow reimbursements from some of these advantage plans, or in other cases, we are still fighting for months of any kind of payment from some of these plans. Traditional Medicare is really yours and ours most reliable healthcare partner!!!

Thank you for thinking your choice through very carefully!
